Jay Z - Fade to Black

"This was a top movie for me in 2004 cuz i love da jigga man! i had seen this movie before going to an actual jay-z concert in anaheim 2 weeks later. And if u see this movie,u feel the same energy u do if u were to go watch him live. You just wanna throw your diamonds up <>! this movie is going to be collectible for any hip-hop fan cause jay-z is a legendary artist that has a legacy in music and respect all over the world! i definetely reccomend this movie!"

"A very impressive musical. The songs are top-rate, and the actors surprise fans with their vocal skills. Brent Spiner and Rene Auberjonois are stand-outs in a solid cast. Stromboli (Spiner) is a hilarious villian (with a fantastic singing voice). Drew Carey and Seth Adkins have real chemistry as Geppetto and Pinocchio and give very charming performances. This movie is destined to be classic."

Jay Z - Fade to Black

"I honestly can't believe this DVD has a mere 3 and a half stars. People writing in, 'This isn't music', are obviously not hip-hop fans, which is why the number is sunk low. Jay-Z's 'Fade To Black' was absolutely great. The Michael Jordan of rap retires. I'd like to see those people who are saying 'This isn't music' go into a booth in 15 minutes and do your verses without pencil or paper, and do it in one take like he did. He's a genious. Get this DVD if you're a fan of Hip-Hop or Jay-Z. "

"I am not a big fan of Disney movies. They tend to revise and rework history too much. However, when I heard that Drew Carey was starring in a musical of Geppetto, I had to check it out. Critics panned it, but audiences loved it!True, Drew Carey is no Bing Crosby or Fred Astaire, but his charming personality and very passable musical talents make the musical very easy to digest. The songs may not be the greatest, but with Drew Carey as the lead, the movie is very worthwhile. Maybe Disney executives will agree and cast Drew in 'How To Suceed In Business'. How about it..."

"..So why doesn't he hardly ever dance in this movie! He gets 4 stars because I thought he did a good job acting. I found it to be somewhat annoying that every single female that he passes melted in front of him. He is cute but u gotta admit if he wasnt THE famous USHER that no one would really be all that into him. I wasnt so into any of the other characters though. The white guy who wants to be black 'Junior' is the worst. He needs to be kicked in the head. The storyline was cute though.. I just wished some better acting was performed."
