"Great film! Jet Li & Russell Wong? How could you get better? Oh! By adding Aaliya, that's how! Fantastic action sequences and story line. A must see."
"Another worthwhile teenage film
That's set around a dance
A guy who grew up the hard way
And gets a second chance
He's basically a smart-mouthed punk
Just headed for disaster
By picking fights and boosting cars
He's gonna get there faster
While cleaning up at the Art School
He notices this girl
As luck would have it, he's the man
She needs to help her twirl
She's a driven dancing queen
Who needs to get it right
On and off and off and on
They practice, feud and fight
I'm sure you've guessed how this one ends
With dancing and romance
But something in it strikes a chord
It's worth more than a glance

"I went into the movie with low expectations - just wanted tokill 2 hours plus see some martial arts (Jet Li number one!). I waspleasently surprised! I saw critics panning the story and complaining how complex the plot was. I liked the story and could follow the plot easily. It had a good story line and great martial arts action! Some of the editing of the fights was too much. Better to just let Jet do his thing and film it. The fighting scene with the fire hose was the best!If you like gang/mob wars/martial arts go and see the movie. You won't be disappointed! Good music too!"
"Here it is. My favorite movie star is Ginger Rogers. Anybody seen a Rogers & Astaire movie? Their films go like this...boy meets girl, boy dances with girl, boy loses girl, boy dances with girl (again), boy gets girl. Put all that in a movie with slammin' beats, an ambitious dance student (Jenna Dewan) and a freak at freestyle street dance (Channing Tatum) and you got 'Step Up'. You'll enjoy it. Like I did."
"This is one of the most overlooked films of recent memory. No one mentions what a great performance Zelda Harris delivers. If Tatum O'Neal can get an Oscar for Paper Moon, then this child certainly deserved at least a nomination. Alfre can do no wrong in my book. A very tender and heartfelt movie - for the whole family, regardless of your ethnic background."
"Action movie star steven seagal teams up with urban rap artist dmx in the new action-thriller exit wounds. Steven seagal is a police officer who has a bad habit of taking the law into his own hands in order to punish the guilty, and dmx is a gangster with a million dollars of money saved up and he has an interest in buying drugs. Both of these men uncover a conspiracy that involves crooked cops selling heroin. There's plenty of action, fight sequences, and plot twists in this movie to keep you on the edge of your seat. Steven seagal and dmx both do a good job at kicking some a$$!"
