The Matrix

"This is not a review of the movie - the Matrix is by itself an interesting subject - but instead this is review of what's available in the package you get.I had The Matrix on DVD from back when it first came out. Somehow, when the son moved to College, I lost my Matrix DVD, so I finally decided to replenish my collection and get, what I thought was a 2 disc version with more behind the scenes stuff.Instead, I get a single disk, with the excat same content as my old (collection happy - buyer is not), a poster, some pictures and a frame of the movie blown up. Is that worth the additional $50 (at least)?? I don't think so. But the quality of the DVD is great - as the old one. However, the box, pictures and posters will soon be archived under T for Trash."

The Matrix

"This movies has it all, ground breaking visual affects, great fight scenes, jarring sound, decent acting and a great story. This is my favorite action movie of all time to date."

Othello

"The newest version of Othello holds up perfectly well next to its older, more respected counterparts. Kenneth Branagh is perhaps the best Iago ever put on film; his cold, poisonous gaze is truly frightening. Laurence Fishburne handles himself adequately as The Moor (and is, by the way, the first African-American to play the role in a major motion picture). Irene Jacobs struggles some with her lines, English not being her first language, but her wonderful, luminous facial expressions carry her through just fine. The play is not a complete version, having been cut a bit, but most of the trimmings were not of much importance to the plot or characters."

Fantastic Four - Rise of the Silver Surfer

"I viewed the movie when it was first released in theaters, and I was pleasently surprised. The costumes and special effects are first class. In fact, most of the people in the theater were in awe in the initial appearance of the Silver Surfer. The story line is not perfect, but it is entertaining and fast moving. There is considerable more action in this movie than in the first one. I highly recommend this movie to all that wish to be entertained by a solid theatrical presentation."

"I ordered my copy as soon as it was available to pre-order. Amazon shipped it May 22, 2007 and I received it May 24, 2007 with free shipping. This Box Set did not disappoint. The picture is absolutely phenomenal and the audio is even better. The Complete Matrix Trilogy on HD DVD is worth every penny. "
