End of the Spear

"Some of the magic of Hollywood is its ability to take a story and make it 'bigger than life'. Visually, graphically, technologically Hollywood is able to do amazing larger than life productions. What struck me about this movie is that instead of this movie being larger than life, the actual lives lived by the men and women portrayed in the film were so much larger than the movie. That is not a criticism of the movie, instead it is a wonderful window into the weighty real lives that they lived. Often we watch movies in order to escape reality and enter into another world. This movie inspires us to enter into not an imagined world but into reality - the kind of reality that we all long for - a life that is weighty, sincere, meaningful - a life worth living."

Shock to the System: A Donald Strachey Mystery

"When I watched 'Shock to the System' on HERE! I did it based on a friend's recommendation. I really didn't know what to expect. What I saw was a kick-[..] detective story with superb production values. Then, in checking out Chad Allen, I found out there was another Strachy movie 'Third Man Out'. You'll be smart to order them together. You won't be disappointed. This should be a weekly hour series on cable TV!"

St. Elsewhere - Season 1

"I am sooo happy to see the release of the first season of this amazing series coming out on DVD finally! I have waited a long time to see the doctors and nurses of St. Eligius on DVD. I can't wait to see Drs. Westphall, Auschlander, and Craig and all the other cast members of this beloved series grace my TV screen again! I used to live for the nights that this show came on NBC from 1982 until 1988. It ran for a awhile in syndication on Bravo. But it has been well over a year since then. I plan to get all the seasons when they all come out on DVD."
