The Legend of Zorro

"Director Martin Campbell's belated sequel to 'The Mask of Zorro' (1998) does not equal the high standards of its predecessor, but still delivers plenty of swashbuckling thrills. 'The Legend of Zorro' returns to the Saturday-matinee escapism of yesteryear, with Antonio Banderas and Catherine Zeta-Jones in splendid form. Though the film could have been 15 minutes shorter, the pace rarely lags. Campbell stages some memorable setpieces -- topped with a few cinematic in-jokes. Nostalgic fun for one and all!"

The Haunting

"And not in an acceptable sense of the word! They took an excellent ghost story and tried to do something with it. The problem is that they relied way way way too heavily on special effects. Don't believe me? Watch the original. It will have your skin crawling and had very little special effects. Why do they have to try to rework something that is perfect? I don't get it. If Hollywood is going to rework a masterpiece, then play it straight. Just because you can do all sorts of things with special effects doesn't mean you have to try to put them in remakes, especially if the original is perfect!"

"This DVD was excellent as far as it went. However I saw the show when it was presented on TV. I was very disappointed that when veiwing the DVD at least four maybe more artists were left off . I never would have bought this product had I known that it was not complete. I feel cheated and want others to realize that they are not getting a complete show."

The Legend of Zorro

"In a lot of ways the 2nd Zorro movie was better than the first. While there was a good bit of action in the first Zorro, we have more fight scenes in the Legend of Zorro - some even include Catherine Zeta-Jones. To go with the addition of better action, there's also the added bonus of a much better plot. The plot in this one will keep you going until the end of the movie when all of the sudden mysteries are answered (I won't say anymore to be sure of not spoiling anything). The action is great, the acting is great and plot is great. This is a great family movie - watch and enjoy!!"
