"The very young Kenneth Branagh and Emma Thompson, struggling on many levels across wartorn Europe and Cairo.Incredible cast of unforgettable characters, taut story line throughout about a young married couple escaping the enemy but not themselves. The acting couple were married at the time of the filming. This series represents the best of Masterpiece Theater."
"Anyone who is an animal lover should see this movie. And anyone who is not an animal lover has got to love Buddy the dog. Because he is one of the most beautiful dogs I've ever seen. The movie also has great values and it is a fine christian movie. Anyone who does not agree with me that Buddy is adorable should get there head examined. I love goldens! especially Buddy and this movie is awesome!"
"Other basketball films (White Men Can't Jump, The Air Up There) have tried to allude towards racial/nationalistic equality in sports, but this one takes it as far as you can go and then run's with it dawg - or I mean DOG. Air Bud (R.I.P.) taught me and my family a lot about not believing stereotypes like dogs can't play hoop. I'm down with racial unity and I'm down with Air Bud 1 and 3 (not 2)."
"This movie is the most funny one I have seen before. Gene Wilder and Richard Pryor are great in it. It is them that make it so funny. My favorite part is when they dress up like woodpeckers and sing the song. When I watched this movie, I could not stop laughing throughout the whole entire thing. I give this movie 5 stars. If you have not seen it, I suggest you do"
"This is a 007 *SPOOF* .. As such, it should be taken lightly. There are some truly humorous moments thru-out the movie. Peter Sellers is funny in his role as 'Evelyn Tremble' who is paired up with Ursula Andress's 'Vesper.' In some scenes the two share you can tell that she's trying her best to keep a straight face.
Again, if you're hoping for a serious spy flick, pick up a 'real' Bond flick, if you want to laugh your way thru a spy-spoof riddled with innuendo, then pick up a copy of 'Casino Royale.'"
"This is one of the most underappreciated films which delves successfully into the personal side of life during wartime. Life, business, and education goes on even though the world is trying to kill itself. Love is found and lost, jobs come and go, and life goes on-even as the bombs fall. Branagh and Thomson are as always endearing as much for their flaws as for their charms. The scenery and cinematography is simply spectacular. This is in many way reminiscent of The English Patient, while not as powerful or brilliant, still very enjoyable, and highly recomended."
