"This movie had a good plot. The performances by Salvator Xuereb and Patrick Foy were absolutely superb as feuding IRA brothers. I could have done without James Brolin. He and his character were out of place and his acting, as usual, leaves you unmoved. It's a movie worth watching on a rainy day. It is especially worth watching for the poem at the end - very moving."
"The only reason we bothered renting this movie is becuase our friend has been making fun of it in the past two weeks (by the way, he found in the Blockbuster dumpster). It exceeded our expectations and is probably the most unintentionally hilarious movie we have ever seen. How can you not laugh every time James Brolin enters the screen? Plus, why did Josh Brolin get a billing when he was only in the movie for 2 1/2 minutes?"
"I loved the story here and the emphasis on trust in relationships - both with horses and people, but the language really spoiled what could have been a perfect family movie. It really took the enjoyment out of it for me, because there was no need for bad language in a movie like this. I was really disappointed in that."
"'STAR' is my favorite book and I think that all the actors were cast perfectly and were wonderful but the movie and the book are sooo different! The movie was good enough that I read the book, but then realized the movie lacks so much of the detail that makes this story great-which I guess is expected for a TV movie. Knowing the full story makes it easier to like the movie-if you don't you'd think it was cheese. If you are a die-hard romantic, and/or a Jennie fan, this is definitley the movie you'd want to see."
"I love Danielle Steel books more than anything, i find them so intriuging, and star is one of my favorite books, and so i really want to watch this movie, although i have seen the danielle steel movies, fine things, and once in a lifetime, i recommend these movies (and books) to any avid danielle steel reader. If you have any information on where i can find this book, please let me know....."
