"The city of angels is one of my best movies ever. I'm very disagree with you who wrote about this movie. "the pear thing" is a poem. This movie is amazing <3 take my advice becoz i know what i'm talking about - this movie is deffenetly worth watching !"
"Sleepless in Seattle is among my favorite movies, and I was looking forward to seeing the ENTIRE film. Unfortunately, I discovered that this edition is missing at least one significant (and in my opinion, very funny) scene: The part where Annie, having received a phone call from her friend Becky telling her that Sleepless in Seattle was on the radio again, ends up hiding in the broom closet so that she can listen without Walter finding out. I have no idea why it was cut from the DVD edition, and wish I had known before purchasing."
"Here's Meg again, with that spiky bad hair (what's that about anyway?) and a part we've seen her play umpteen times before. The screenplay is trite and mean-spirited at the outset; it descends into stupid and even gross (I really don't want to see a rearview shot of a dog doing its business.) This movie goes beyond bad all the way to terrible. Don't waste your time or your money. Poor Hugh Jackman is stuck in this movie, trying his best to do something with his role. And this is yet another of Meg's really bad choices. If you have a burning need to see her, get Sleepless In Seattle. It's a sweet-natured film, worth seeing."
"This movie was completely idiotic. The entire idea of the angels not being able to feel was mishandled (see the 'What does a pear taste like?' scene. How is someone who could never taste supposed to know what 'sugary sand' tastes like? But Cage's character just nods. Terrible.) The 'plot twist' was ridiculous. And yes, the angels do look ominous. Meg Ryan was miscast as a heart surgeon. This is simply not worth watching. However, as a result of this crappy movie, I have been introduced to Wim Wender's version, which I will check out as it sounds far superior. The one star is for that."
"Comparing tyhis edition, to the older one, I see very little difference, other than a gift certificate: They pretty much just changed the box design. If you know you will be spending $10 at Starbucks within a few months of this DVD's release, then perhaps you might want to buy it; otherwise, it is far cheaper to get the 'collector's edition', which has all of the same big features as this one. You can find it pretty cheaply on Amazon still, and it is pretty common to find it in the low-priced selections of a lot of other stores as well."
"This is one of the few movies I can watch over and over and never tire of seeing it. It is so true to life about relaionships betwen men and women. Billy Crystal and Meg Ryan are the perfect actors to play Harry Burns and Sally Albright, the completely opposite and mismatched couple who are actually the perfect match for each other. Billy Crystal's unique humor shines through, and Meg Ryan is the only actress who could play Sally. Bruno Kirby and Carrie Fisher are great as Harry and Sally's best friends. The dialauge between Harry and Sally is wonderfull throughout the fillm. And the diner scene is one of the funniest I've ever seen in a movie. It all but steals the entire picture. This is ,hands-down, a modern romantic comedy classic that everyone should see."
