The Ultimate Matrix Collection

"I purchased this set over the cheaper version as it came with 'The Animatrix' (a movie I already own on standard DVD) well guess what, the Animatrix on this so called 'Ultimate Collection' is in standard old school crappy def! Needless to say I feel ripped off. Oh and to rub salt in the wound I could have got the cheaper version and downloaded Animatrix for free from Xbox Live Marketplace! Way to go guys, totally screw the folks who pay more for a box set. This isnt the 'Ultimate Collection' as all movies are not in HD !!!! (I dont care about the stupid making of 1000 hours of babble stuff) If someone starts a petition to get the HD Animatrix (as a free replacement) Im sooo signing it this su**s."

The Matrix

"This is not a review of the movie - the Matrix is by itself an interesting subject - but instead this is review of what's available in the package you get.I had The Matrix on DVD from back when it first came out. Somehow, when the son moved to College, I lost my Matrix DVD, so I finally decided to replenish my collection and get, what I thought was a 2 disc version with more behind the scenes stuff.Instead, I get a single disk, with the excat same content as my old (collection happy - buyer is not), a poster, some pictures and a frame of the movie blown up. Is that worth the additional $50 (at least)?? I don't think so. But the quality of the DVD is great - as the old one. However, the box, pictures and posters will soon be archived under T for Trash."

The Complete Matrix Trilogy

"When the Matrix was originally released on standard DVD, it was the movie that most people used to showcase their home theater set-up. It's only fitting that The Matrix once again helps usher in the new standard for the nex-gen format. For anyone that has been hesitant to jump into the new DVD format, this box set will make you a new convert. The films look and sound spectacular and are each loaded with extra content from the original release. A MUST have collection. "

"It's always exciting to see a new star on the rise. I don't know what IT is, but Shia LaBeouf has IT is spades. I'm a fan of 'Rearview' and think this is a good modern take on the classic. Though I do have to agree that the last third of the film begins to loose major points just in the sheer illogical motives of the killer. If you are going to be a psycho killer-why on earth would you live in the suburbs? Everyone knows everyone's business there...and you mean to tell me that one one would know this man was digging to China in the garage? Given how close all the houses were-no one else heard women screaming from his place? C'mon. If you can force logic to take a vacation during the movie's durance, you can actually have a pretty good time. Overall: worth watching."

"This movies has it all, ground breaking visual affects, great fight scenes, jarring sound, decent acting and a great story. This is my favorite action movie of all time to date."

Snow Cake

"This movie was fascinating and full of little surprises that made me laugh and cry alternately. One of the unique aspects of Snow Cake is that the cast is made up of sci-fi/action heavyweights! Sigourney Weaver is all too used to dousing slimy aliens with flamethrowers; Alan Rickman generally chews scenery as the sorcerer Severus Snape; and Carrie-Anne Moss will go down in history as the leather-clad, cool-shades-donning femme fatale of the Matrix trilogy. Yet here we get to see an overwhelmingly tender and subtle side to these actors, who are all absolutely brilliant in a small drama as well as their usual big box office outings. I urge anyone who has an interest in the human condition to watch this movie. "
