Pee Wee's Playhouse Christmas Special

"This is one of the best things to come out of the '80s. The Pee Wee Xmas Special is that very rare program indeed. Weird, weird, weird, funny, charmimg, colorful, sweet and twisted. How did he do this. An XMAS special that features a man-boy, puppets, Grace Jones in a box, KD Lang, Dinah Shore, the Del Rubio Sisters, Frankie & Annette .... I mean, really! Buy and enjoy!!!!! La la la la, connect the Christmas dots ..."

The Witches of Eastwick

"What a brilliant movie. Enjoyable in every sence of the word. There is really something to please everyone in this film. George Miller's direction is right on the money. The Performances are all exceptional, there is not a bad actor in the whole film. Jack Nicholson does his best work ever! The scene in the church where he complaines about god and woman is still one of my favourite scenes on film. Said Woman are also exceptional. Susan, Michelle and Cher... Jack is one lucky man. An all-round perfect movie."

"Like other reviewers, I'm baffled as to why this is not in letterbox. I can live without super-duper extras, but I have no reason to upgrade from my VHS until a widescreen version is published. The rating is reflective of my dislike of the fullscreen formatting. The movie itself is one of the great romantic comedies-a love letter to love itself, and NYC."

"Even though I'm not particularly fond of Cher, and I wasn't alive in 1963, this is one of my favorite movies. It has drama, excitement, laughter and tears. The characters are unique, even bizarre individuals, and yet they ring true. There's some great acting by everyone, and it's a 'must see' for Winona Ryder fans.The best part, though, is the soundtrack. Fun pop songs ('Johnny Angel', 'Mambo Italiano') are worked into the movie, making certain scenes particularly memorable. In particular, I loved the scene with the song 'If You Want to Be Happy'. (Yes, the song is mean-spirited and offensive, but after seeing these women 'reclaim' it, it always makes me smile!)"
