"This is a film about competition in sports and about the love/sexual atraction between two women. The scenes that capture the more difficult moments in sports competition (the beginning of a 1000 meters, by example)are really good and beautiful. There you can see the high feelings of people that dedicates theirs lifes to win in a sport campus. Otherwise, the love scenes are delicate and very beautiful. You can feel by yourself the feelings between the two women. High feelings. What I really didn't like is the end of the love story. It is not credible and seems to be moralizing. But you have to see this picture. Great photography, great bodies. I saw it when it was new (1983, 1984, I guess) and I saw it now and I find it better than then."
"If you are a Burton fun you should not miss this one. If you are not, the picture and sound quality of this blu-ray could transform you to a Burton fun.
The picture is spectacular and make you say that buying the HDTV and blu-ray was an worthwhile investment. It is a great movie to test your new systems and appreciate the sound and image quality.
The story itself is sweet and the interchange of colors that Burton uses between the two worlds is not very clever but it reverses the roles (I won't elaborate so not to ruin it for the people that have not seen it).
Enjoy it "
"I saw 'Miss Potter' at the cinema and thoroughly enjoyed it. With beautiful scenery, moments to laugh out loud, times to cry, and a few delightful animations, 'Miss Potter' takes us through the joys and frustrations of being a talented female author and illustrator in London at the turn of the century but being unrecognized as such by her own mother. I would heartily recommend this film!"
"My wife and I went to see this movie expecting to enjoy some good laughs provided by the interaction between Bruce Willis and Spencer Breslin (the kid.) We certainly got the laughs and a whole lot more. This movie really moved us. It is story about a man coming to grips with the difference between what his eight-year-old self thought he would become as an adult and what he had actually become. The interaction between Bruce Willis and Spencer Breslin was perfect. Also, the choice of Emily Mortimer as the love interest was excellent, she really added a lot to the story as a character and as an actress. I highly recommend this movie. Don't be surprised when it tugs at your heartstrings."
"Is everyone psychic? How can there be this many product reviews for this dvd already when it's not released until Jan. 31st? I think that other sources exist for movie reviews besides Amazon. So gee thanks for all of the great reviews about the movie and not the dvd. Your enthusiasm is noted but ridiculous when what people need to see is a blend of movie and product information not fan blogs!

"I own Blu Ray and I own HD-DVD. I have a 1080p TV. Up until now, I have seen a better picture on HD-DVD with 1080i, than Blu-Ray on 1080p. This movie changes that. It has the sharpest graphics on my 1080p TV than anything I have seen yet, in any format. I liked the movie too. Get it.
