The Burning Bed

"This movie made me realize how far women's rights have come, and the fact that stories like this still happen makes me realize how far we still have to go. To those reviewers who say the ending is unrealistic, I would like to point out that this is a true story. You can't get more realistic than that. "

Logan's Run

"As other reviewers have written, Logan's Run and it's (at the time) award winning special effects was quickly eclipsed by Star Wars. Never the less, it is a decent and enjoyable Sci-fi flick. If you can get past the camp look and feel of the fashion, you will enjoy the story. Other reviewers have summed up the plot nicely, and they have also made the comparisons to Nolan's novel. So I will try to point out some of the interesting tid-bits in the commentaries: John Voight was first considered for the part of Logan. Lindsay Wagner was originally considered for the part of Jessica. William Devane was originally considered for the part of Francis. A retired James Cagney was considered for the part of the old man - later played by Peter Ustinoff."

The Burning Bed

"Farrah Fawcett does an excellent job in this battered wife movie. Unless you have experienced family violence, you may not appreciate the realness of this story. Should there be any reviews not offering 5 stars, then it may well be assumed that the reviewer is a misogynist (woman hater). Why goodness me, there we have two misogynists already. "

The Cannonball Run

"I would say this is the greatest Chuck Norris movie, no wait, the greatest movie of all-time except for one thing. And that is that all Chuck Norris movies are created equal and better then movies like the Godfather, Schlinder's List, Back Door sl**s 9, and Braveheart combined. Chuck Norris is a much better actor then Tom Hanks and Marlon Brando because he knows karate. Hell Chuck Norris invented Karate as well as Judo, Kung Fu, and Hamster style Jap Slapping. Do yourself a favor and buy this movie so you can call yourself a man. And if your a woman buy this movie and pray Chuck Norris comes to your house and gets you pregnant. This message was approved by Chuck Norris. "

Man of the House

"This dreary story of a man (Chevy Chase) who moves in with his girlfriend (Farrah Fawcett) and tries to befriend her son (Jonathon Taylor Thomas) is supposed to be a comedy, but there are no laughs here. Thomas is a cute actor, but can't overcome the poor writing. Chase is embarrassingly bad here. Why should the boy like this stranger who is shacking up with his mother? Not a family film and not recommended for any age!"
