"It is easy to identify the flaws in this film: paradoxes abound, the pace is too slow at times, the acting is a bit uneven, plot is minimized.
So, why is it memorable?
1. This is Christopher Reeves's best performance.
2. Despite the holes and loopholes, the story is romantic and appealing.
3. The scenery is gorgeous.
4. The music, although a bit repetitive, fits the film well.
5. The whole film has an ethereal atmosphere to it.
The end result is a movie that feels like a dream: it doesn't necessarily make much sense, but it leaves a definite impression."
"Talk about being ripped off, WINDS OF WAR at 860 minutes was reasonably priced at around $60. This product at 810 minutes is priced at $106, and it's only part 1. There has to be a point where a person draws the line, no matter how much they like to have the product. At this price for this product-the line has been drawn.

"Good news. The Anthony Andrews version WILL be released on DVD later this year. I don't have a release date yet, but I am sure the company that is organising the US release, Image Entertainment, will give it plenty of promotion nearer the time.RegardsAndrew LuffLondon Films"
