"This movie is just brillianti** amazing! It's about four girls who meet up twenty years later and it's just brilliant! Most of it is set in the summer of 1970, and it's great fun to watch. My favourite character was Samantha, played by Gaby Hoffman at 12 and Demi Moore at 32. I liked the other three as well: Teeny (Thora Birch, Melanie Griffith), Chrissy (Ashleigh Aston Moore, Rita Wilson) and Roberta (Christina Ricci, Rosie O' Donnell). All the actors were great and it's a star-studded cast featuring Janeane Garafolo and Brendan Frasier in cameos. There's only one actress making her debut, Ashleigh Aston Moore, and she gives a stunning performance as 12-year-old Chrissy. You will do anything to get your hands on this video!!!"
"How can you argue with this edition of 'Anastasia' you get tons & tons of Special Features, Interactive Games, Menus and a bonus film 'Bartok The Magnificent' all for the price of one. Both films seem more colorful & better in sound, then ever before. 'Anastasia' is in (Widescreen 2.35:1) and 'Bartok The Magnificent' is in (Fullscreen 1.33:1). Overall this edition is way better then the first editon, so if you have the first edition buy this one too, believe me you will not be sorry. As for being a biography on the real Princess Anastasia, this doesn't do, but for a family cartoon it works really good!."
"I can't say enough how wonderful this movie is. I watched it on HBO the other night and can't believe I ignored the movie for so long! The only problem is that some of the musical numbers aren't quite as memorable as others. In fact, I'm happy to say the film is not entirely a dance/musical, and features more story than anything else. A good story about an orphan not sure which path she wants to travel down.
In addition to that, you have very good animation. As someone said below, it's almost unbelievable how REAL certain scenes feel. The scene in the beginning with the man and woman dancing is a good example. I loved the story, loved the characters, and would gladly watch it again. "
"For anyone who simply wants to know if this is the original theatrical version, like myself--it's noti** the same as the 10th Anniversary Edition, with the stuff from the cutting room floor thrown back into the movie, instead of in Bonus Features where it belongs. I'm so thankful I still have the oringinal release that I love on video. "
