"'I was scared!' (desklamps) This is definately one of the funniest movies I have ever seen. It has so many jokes thati**eems like it would just be one of those mindless comedies. but there is so much plot involved and twists to it that greatly enhances the movie. but the plot of set in such as way thati** very easy to keep up with. Norm McDonald is extremely funny. I don't know what all those other people are complaining about. I would definately recommend this movie to anyone."
"This movie is like -- soo riotously funny. No bearing on relity, but you'll laugh your splitting sides off! See Adam Sandler before he became so well known. His comic genius was already showing big time. As an heir with whacky friends, he has to repeat all grades of school in just a few weeks to convince his dad that he's worthy of his inheritance. And he has a riotous good time in the process. He meets a teacher, Veronica Vaughan, played by Bridgette Wilson. This is her only lead role I know of -- she's such an underrated actress who should have gone big places. See this underrated gem of a comedy!"
"After years of waiting Universal finally is releasing Happy Gilmore on a widescreen DVD. I am so happy that I held out and didn't buy the piss poor Full Screen Edition of the DVD they put out for years. If that isn't enough their is also Billy Madison which is a hillarious Sandler film. Personally though I think Happy Gilmore is Sandler at his funniest, the comedic scenes between him and Bob Barker are so funny it makes you want to cry! Now it is time for me to order these 2 DVD's and take them home!"
Laughing Out Loud: America's Funniest Comedians - Vol. 2
"An incredible waste of time. Jason Alexander gets 2 minutes of screen time, Chris Rock's act is not at all polished and drags on and on and on. A couple of laughs, but not enough to make this worth seeing. If you're looking into this series check out #5 instead."
"This movie is hilarious. Why do people hate it so much. The critics, the fans what's with that? When I first saw this it was on encore (The smaller versions of stars) I only saw it because of norm McDonald. Because I loved him in 'dirty work', by the way get that or watch it. I didn't know what to expect. I saw it I laughed my freakin as* off!!! I remember watching the commercial like when the old lady goes 'you expect me to go to work like this' (she's in her launderay) and norms character says 'awe no...!!!! I laughed my freakin as* off!!! If you watch this you laugh seriously. They need to make a special edition DVD though. I'd buy it!! You would too once you seen this movie..."
"norm macdonald has created a comedy classic with this film. ever since the first time i saw it, i've loved it, and it's still funny after the tenth time. i find myself using phrases and lines out of this movie so often in everyday conversation. also, you'll almost definitely pick up 'note to self' and use it sporadically. there are so many great scenes, and the supporting part by the late chris farley only adds to the quality of the movie. must buy if you want to laugh"
