Stepfather II
"This sequel is horrible. The first Stepfather movie is soooo good and original and NOT on dvd??? Why would they release part two on dvd and not the original? Don't bother with this one, search out the first on video, it is so superior. Terry O'Quinn and Shelly Hack plus good story. Not this one. It gets one star just because I like Terry O'Quinn, now on TV's LOST."

Go
"Once you get over the Tarantino thing, Go becomes quite a ride of its own. Darkly funny, twisted and at times really sweet, Go makes for a good couple of hours of entertainment. Polley is terrific - her character reminds me more of Griffin Dunne's in After Hours. Holmes is cute, the guy trio on their Vegas jaunt are fine and Fox and Mohr are great together in this. In fact, all the roles are cast quite well. Kind of After Hours meets Pulp Fiction without the pedigree or historical significance."

Sesame Street Presents Elmo's Musical Adventures - Peter & The Wolf
"This DVD is a wonderful work of art -- the story of Peter and the Wolf, the orchestral music, the experience of going to a concert, and the notion of 'music telling a story' are seamlessly woven together with humor. My 2-1/2 year old daughter adores this DVD now, and she has learned all the instruments. She can even discriminate between a clarinet, oboe, and bassoon -- a sign that the educational content was extremely effective! The DVD also includes some great games for identifying different instruments or viewing only the orchestra playing the music -- these bonus materials actually complement the movie instead of just being some added junk. Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops deserve a special pat on the back, and I hope they plan on collaborating on more projects like this."

Sesame Street Presents Elmo's Musical Adventures - Peter & The Wolf
"Elmo videos can vary quite a bit in quality, but I have to say that this is just about the best one. I hope they do more like this in the future. My 2 year old son absolutely loves it -- pretty much demands to see it every day now -- and what's more, *I* like it too. Great sets, good humor, and the Prokokiev music is integrated perfectly with the performance. This is fun AND intelligent. This is one of the few videos I've seen to describe orchestra instruments, and how an orchestra works, to a very young audience -- it even nudges kids into understanding to comport themselves at a concert (i.e. by Baby Bear making every faux pas possible...)."

White Squall
"I think that White Squall is one of the best movies ever. Ryan Phillipe and Scott Wolf were the perfect picks to play the main roles. It tells the story of a group of boys who go on an adventure on an older ship for the summer. They travel the world. The great thing I think about this movie is it is a true example of what friendship really is. These boys come on the ship as total strangers, and end up as friends that would risk there lives for eachother. Belive me if there was ore than a five star rating, White Squall would surley get it! I think anyone who could direct such a wonderful film is a maraculus person with a heart of gold. Thank you, Ridley Scott, for showing the world what a real movie should be!"

Lady & The Tramp II - Scamp's Adventure
"In general i dislike direct-to-video animated movies from disney home video. There have been only two that i can recommend. The others are just marginally acceptable. Lady and the tramp ii - scamp's adventure is just unremarkable and in fact leaves the viewer wondering if walt disney, if he were still alive, would have permitted the lack of fair play and unforgiving nature of the scamp character. This movie almost gives the viewer a message that good guys finish last. I did not have any high expectations before i saw this movie but to see a sense of fair play being slowly chipped away by the studio that was the icon of fair play left me empty. You have to remember that this dvd is aimed at our youngest viewers who are capable of comprehending its story."
