Pearl Harbor

"I saw Pearl Harbor a few days ago at an early screenings and was blown away by it. The movie had the best trailer I've ever seen and the movie doesn't disappoint. The actual attack scenes are incredible. You know there had to be lots of CGI and special effects, but they're seamless and flawless. Not once does it ever look fake. I think teens, college students, adults, seniors and veterans are going to be very very happy with this flick. I was, and can't wait to go see it again. It MUST be seen on a big movie screen. Do NOT wait for it to be on video or DVD."

Pearl Harbor

"This film still looks impressive after five years just for its recreation of the actual attack on Pearl Harbor. In the face of historical liberties and inaccuracies in events depicted and the overall scripting this film still gets its point across. The devastation and loss of life at the hands of the unprovoked Japanese attack is mesmerizing and heartbreaking to watch. This is a very good looking copy of the film."

"I did a lot of research of blu-ray vs hd dvd and blu-ray has more studio support, more bandwidth, more consumer electronic support, higher bitrate and better pq/aq (picture quality / audio quality). i think people are confused because hd dvd has hd in it's name. blu-ray is a high definition format as well which is superior to hd dvd. this movie looks great on blu."

"If you like British crime movies or loved 'The Usual Suspects' this move is for you. I actually saw this at our local art movie house and went twice. I can't believe it's on DVD so soon! With great acting (Daniel Craig is a young James Woods) and fab dialog, this isn't just a 'thug' movie at all. The 'layers' of this cake are spectacular. Just when you think you've got it figured out, it twists yet again. The fast-paced action keeps you interested and the music is awesome (I'll be getting the soundtrack next). Don't miss this gem. You'll want to watch it over and over again. "

"`Smokin' Aces' released on DVD in '07 is the next step in the evolution of madness and mayhem begun by the '94 cult classic `Pulp Fiction' and redefined in '03 with `Kill Bill.' Like the two previously mentioned films 'Smokin' Aces' presents a display of outlandish, wacked out 'bad guys' and hard nosed, amoral 'good guys' that will keep you riveted to the screen. The action is fast and furious, the bloodshed plentiful and the plot turns will keep you wondering where this film is taking you until the very end. This movie is definitely not for everyone [especially children] but if you like this genre of film you'll love this one!"

"First off, I normally would not have wasted my money on a HD title such as this one; it was included in a eBay lot of Blu-ray discs which I purchased... After 5 minutes of watching I had to press the eject button on my PS3 and check the disc again, because it looked like a normal DVD upscaled to HD... Very poor image quality... "
