"Whats not to like? Sandler comes up with another funny, but thin premise. This time Sandler plays a hockey player turned golf pro because he needs the cash. The only thing is he can't putt worth his salt, but he can smash a drive like nobody's business! This is pretty damn funny and the Sandler / Bob Barker fight is......'Priceless'!(no pun intended) OK, it was! The DVD transfer is good."
"adam sandler is far from the brightest star in the SNL pantheon. even brighter lights like eddie murphy, dan akroyd and chevy chase have had spotty movie output, and sandler has made some serious stinkers. but this goofy movie about a 'regular joe' beer-drinking hockey player who storms the golf world is in sandler's sweet spot. good silly movie though not to be confused with masterpieces like caddy shack, meatballs or wedding crashers. older kids will love it but beware some serious swearing!"
"I thought this movie would mostly be for kids, but I think I laughed as much if not more than the younger folks around me. The CGI is good, the plot is neat, and Ben Stiller, Owen Wilson, and Robin Williams deliver the goods. It was also a treat to see di** Van Dyke and Mickey Rooney in action again. Not to mention that Carla Gugino is a feast for the eyes. It's nice to watch a good film for the whole family once every so often. It makes you feel like a kid again, without a care in the world."
"I saw the movie over five years ago on the TV, at the first I thought it is a kind of a cheap drama.
However I watched it over over again, I recognized I loved it.
What funny about this movie is Sandler's anger reaction.
I think angrying is a key of his performance.
And co-staring is so good, his grand mother, coach, golf rival, etc.
If you like Sandler, don't miss it!"
