Thrill Seekers

"I had never heard of 'Thrill Seekers' before I came across it in DVD rentals and the description caught my interest. I rented it and was not disappointed. From the very beginning, this movie is a non-stop ride of suspense and action with an interesting cast of characters brought together by a single deviation in the past caused by a negligent time traveler. That one event sets off a chain of events that threaten to drastically change the future -- and those who know what is happening will stop at nothing to prevent that from happening. Will those in the present be able to use their knowledge to change the future or will those in the future be able to prevent any further deviations? You'll just have to see for yourself...!"

"Yes, this was my first HD-DVD purchase and I thought it looked fabulous. Eighteen HD-DVDs later and I am less enthusiastic about this one. Yes it is much better than the standard presentation. But Tim Burton films so much of this in dream-like foggy soft-focus that the presentation seems like a soft video transfer (however the sound is top notch!). I still believe that a bit more sharpness could have been coaxed out of the original negative for this release, so this is why I give this gem of a movie 4 stars."

"This movie, much like many of Tim Burton's movies, are not for everyone. If you like the movies Beetlejuice, Batman, Nightmare Before Christmas, or Corpse Bride, then you will probably not be thrown off by Tim's unique style. This movie is every bit as atmospheric (and wierd, some might say) as any of the above mentioned movies. Personally, I love his movies (hence the 5 star rating) and think that this is one of the best! There is a great cast here, and Johnny Depp, in particular, shines in a role that seems made for him. The palpable textures and ambiance make this movie really stand out on HD-DVD! If you like Tim Burton, Johnny Depp, and have an HD-DVD player then run and buy this NOW!"

"this is a grrrrrrreat movie! she's a wonderful actress!!! and do NOT listen to the other review that says she stinks, because she rocks! she is a very successful young actress and is admired by millions. she rox!"

The Curse of King Tut's Tomb

"I think everyone who said this movie was awful was wrong. this movie is superb for a mini series. also for a hallmark movie this movie had awesome special effects, a great cast, and even included a great deal of comedy. i actually prefer the longer movies, and if you don't like them then don't buy them!! it's fun getting lost in these fantasy worlds, and i really enjoy the genre of the mummy meets indiana jones!! for 7.99 i highly recommend this movie, it was worth the buy."
