Comic Book - The Movie

"Mark Hamill is obviously a knowledgable and passionate fan of comics. He has made a movie for fans, about fans and starring fans. It's a hillarious look at what happens when a Hollywood studio tries to make a comic book into a film. Keeping the die hard fans happy isn't easy, especially when the world's biggest fan is working for you (but secretly working against you).This is a faux documentary a bit on the lines of Spinal Tap or Best in Show. It's loaded with guest stars like Donna D'Errico, Stan Lee, Tom Kenny, Kevin Smith, Matt Groening, Peter David, Bruce Campbell, Sid Caesar and Jonathan Winters."

Kiss the Bride

"Character studies of dysfunctional families is a fairly common comedy device. However, in most such efforts, there are enough likable traits to counterbalance the unlikeable ones. We found no redeeming qualities in any of the major characters. Even the bride (who is supposed to carry the film) seemed fake and unlikeable. We watched about 20 minutes of this DVD and ditched it in favor of something else. For a much better 'quirky family' movie, wait for 'The Family Stone' to come out on DVD."

Playboy - The Ultimate Pamela Anderson

"Don't be fooled by the title, or the fact that this is a two-disk set; anyone who just wants to watch Pamela Anderson do what she does best will be sorely disappointed.The first disk consists of nothing more than interviews with various people, such as Mr. Hefner, talking about Pam's career. I had to ask myself whether they really think anybody cares about any of this. My conclusion, of course, is that they don't; Playboy merely padded this to two disks with a load of tripe.Even worse, the second disk is only a compilation of previously released material, most of it shortened considerably (many are shorter than a minute!) from its original length.I would strongly advise fans of Pamela Anderson to look elsewhere to get their fill of gazing longingly at her beauty."
