Seems Like Old Times

"If you appreciate the humor and ease of Chevy Chase and Goldie Hawn, you will love this movie. Charles Grodin does a fantastic job of playing the upstanding yet jealous husband in this entertaining romance. This movie has lifted my spirits, as well as my mothers and sisters, since it's release in the 80's."

"I am serious ! What is going on ? I look at myself now , and do not recognise the guy in the mirrow ... He likes baseball and football ( American football ), he eats hotdogs and humburgers ... Who is he ? Have no idea ... but the worse part - he loved this movie , and he fell in love with Ingrim Bergman for her unbeliavable performance in it . Forget Walter Matthau , forget Goldie Hawn - they allways good ! But the way ms. Bergman rediscover for us the story of love ... when you not 15 anymore ... she really touched my hart ."

Foul Play

"This is one of my favorite 'comfort' movies. you don't have to think a lot, and there's not much deeper meaning. but as homage to hitchco**, foul play is just plain good entertainment. this needs to be on dvd in widescreen format!there. now i feel better. watch this one with your sweetie."

Private Benjamin

"Did anyone but me notice that this movie stops being a comedy the moment Judy Benjamin defies her parents and decides to remain in the army? From the very next scene through the conclusion, it becomes a deliberate feminist polemic and deliberately unfunny. Feminism is nice, but filmmakers seem either afraid to have too much fun with it or unable to keep from aiming over the top. (See Nine to Five and The Incredible Shrinking Woman for two other examples.) Eileen Brennan's scene in which she first meets Benjamin is the high point and (unfortunately and needless to say) comes early. As with Swing Shift, Hawn flexed her star muscles and did things her way -- to the detriment of the product and the audience."

"One of Goldie's best. An eerie and suspenseful story that makes you wonder if you really know the person you're with. The movie keeps you on the edge of your seat the entire time trying to put the plot together. Goldie really proved herself as a a serious actress in this film. This movie shows that Goldie is not just a comedy star."
