A Holiday Romance

"The acting in this is supurb, as is the story. I was greatly surprised at how good it was. It's a great Christmas story, adorable love story, and just a great movie to watch all year, not just at Christmas. I have definitely added this to my annual Christmas movies to watch. I have to admit, I've watched it several times since Christmas has been over!! You'll love it!!"

Black and White

"Not one of Gina Gershon's best roles. The plot has plenty of twists and turns. You won't know 'who dunnit' until the very end of the film. Some interesting nude scenes. If you're a Gina Gershon fan...buy BOUND. Much better."

"I'm not much at reviewing movies, but this one really took me by surprise. I likeGina Gershon, so I tried it and I wasn't disappointed. She and her co-star really have chemistry. There's a lot of tension between the characters and you find yourself constantly changing your mind about who you think the killer is (and I'm pretty good at this stuff). Buti** not just a good suspense thriller, it's a good love story, too. I highly recommend it."

Tightrope

"Tightrope is probably the most unusual Clint Eastwood film. Buti** also a brilliant film in dealing with his characters dark side and similarities with the killer. I also think that Alison Eastwood, Clint's real life daughter, gives a great performance. It's not annoying or badly done like some child actors would do. But be warned that Tightrope is extremely sexually explicit and very violent."

A Holiday Romance

"Whether it is sold under the title 'A Song for the Season' or 'A Holiday Romance', this is a cozy, stress-buster Christmas season movie. It has held up over several viewings for me. All of the actors are very good, as is the story. Naomi Judd's Lily Waite is just the kind of teacher you would have wished to have, or would want for your child. The often under-rated Gerald McRaney is perfect, as is the entire cast. The small town setting of Bethleheim will make you dream of moving from the suburbs, or city. A perfect, 'let's relax with a cup of cocoa holiday movie for the whole family. Also, if you are a teacher, this one will inspire you to give it even more."

Life with Judy Garland - Me and My Shadows

"Okay, I felt compelled to review this after I read this last review, here. It's frighteningly accurate, actually, but doesn't shed a terribly good light on Lorna, who I'm really quite fond of. Her book gives wonderful insights into her mother as does this movie. This last review also doesn't describe Judy quite accurately. Judy was an optimistic soul, but the last hour of M&MS is quite good, IMO. She *had* gone out of her mind from the pills and *was* constantly at odds with anything and everything. While not giving the whole picture, this DVD is a worthwhile watch and very nicely done. Everything couldn't be recreated perfectly and Judy Davis did a pretty damn good job trying to do the impossible."
