"This was the most disgusting thing I have ever heard this women say! She has made a living with the help of gay men and now thinks that "Sex in the City" is "sl**ty" due to gay men. Hmmm same women that posed for Playboy. Now all she does is hawk make up she is an expert on " Sex in the City" which she claims to have not even seen. This is typical of an old broad looking for some easy pubilcity. Completely disgusting."

My Father the Hero

"A cute movie of a young girl coming of age. Unfortunately, director Steve Minor exploits young 14 year old actress Katherine Heigl in several scenes. For instance with a close up of her walking in a thong swimsuit at the pool and later while kissing her crush a shot of the wind blowing katherine's skirt up to reveal the teen in a pair of grey thong panties. Parents be advised."

My Father the Hero

"This movie was really funny to me. I really loved Katherine Heigl in it, I wish she was in more movies. Alicia Silverstone was out for the role but she was too fat or something, but I think Katherine did a really good job. The script is funny, the whole thing about her making people think her dad was her lover was hilarious. If you don't want to buy this movie, you should at least rent it and watch iti** adorable."

The Gambler

"A neglected and underrated masterpiece, presenting one of the most convincing and thorough psychological studies in all cinema. James Caan, in what may well be his best-ever performance, portrays a compulsive gambler with an unusually acute awareness of his own motivations. The 'back story', from which we learn how his family background helps feed his obsession, is subtly and convincingly portrayed. The whole is a tragedy, laced with grim humor.The score uses Mahler's music to great effect, the direction is tight and closely focused throughout and the final scene can only be described as perfection."

"Don't get me wrong, it is the DVD that got 1 star! THe movie is great. It is the transfer that I don't like at all. I hate it when the movie is not presented in its original aspect ratio which, in this case, is 2,35:1 !! Do you read this MGM USA??? Unfortunately, I did not know this prior to buying the disc. It is the same with 'White Lightning', although I can live with the full-screen in this case; it would have been matted in the wide-screen transfer anyway. Do yourselves a favor and order the DVD in the European PAL format on amazon.co.uk because in the UK both Gator titles are presented in anamorphic wide-screen!!"

"A fantastic print of one of the best mini-series of the 70s. Stephen Collins in excellent and is supported by such well-knowns as Larry Hagman Jose Ferrer, Vince Edwards, Rene Auberjonois, Gene Evans, John Van Dreelen, Claude Akins, Werner Klemperer, Roddy McDowall, John Huston and of course Lauren Hutton. A must-have for devotees of superior entertainment."
