"Mr. Knotts movies represent a clean, small-town American idealism that is very different from the dark, 'streetwise' comedys that are so prelevent today. Atmospheric escapism ati** best, the Don Knotts movies of the late sixties and early seventies provide a happy vacation to someplace you would love to really be able to go."

"Made in 1970, this was Don's final film for several years until making a comeback in Disney's 'The Apple Dumpling Gang' in 1975.The theme stays with you long after the DVD player has been switched off. A slew of great supporting actors such as Joe Flynn, Edward Andrews and voice artist Frank Welker, make this a highly enjoyable romp, especially with the addition of sexy Yvonne Craig and wholesome Elaine Joyce as Don's female interest.The rare trailer featuring Yvonne and Don is a must see."

The Gene Krupa Story

"I find it difficult to understand why so many critics have slammed this movie. Granted it isn't a 100 percent factual account of Krupa's life, but the acting and musical performances are all first rate. Mineo is utterly convincing as a hungry, young jazz drummer obsessed with following his muse and proving himself to the world. I can easily imagine this film inspiring someone to become a drummer (in fact no less a percussion personage than Neil Peart has made that very claim). I doubt the same could be said for the Glenn Miller or Benny Goodman biopics which, though good, are doubtful to inspire a run on trombones or clarinets at the local musical store. If you like jazz, you should definitely check this movie out."

Ultimate Flint Collection

"I had this on vhs but couldn't resist this collection. And its just great, although I could not make it thru the so-called Flint TV show from the 70's. The only thing that feature had in common with the movies is the word 'Flint' in the title. But don't let that small distraction get in the way owning this essential dvd. The commentary was very well done as were the other special features. If you are a fan of 60's spy movies, or Coburn, this is a must have. Finally, as with any classic movie that you really like, I find it is better to pick up a copy while it is still in production and readily available. "
