"I was amazed at how many big name movie stars are in this made for DVD musical. The only decent song in the whole show is one borrowed from the 60's/70s rock group Sam the Sham and the Pharohs. If you wish your children watching other children spitting on adults as sport then this is the movie for you. There are other instances that I found disgusting. While this is an updated version of LIttle Red Riding Hood, I would not recommend this for 12 and under. Young teens will find the spitting and other vulgarities humerous, I'm sure."
"This is an updated story of Little Red. When going to Granny's she defiantly goes through a wooded short cut with very entertaining results. Little Red rides a bike, Grandma lives on the ocean's edge in an A frame with a yoga hut, Dad and Mom are light house keepers. Lanie Kazan is the Grandmother, she narrarates and sings in the movie, a very talented lady. The songs are upbeat and quirky and a lot of fun, don't let this one pass you by it is a welcome change from all the brainless kidvids out there."
"'encounter in the third dimension' contains a pretty neat concept......
let's film a 3-d documentary in 3d about the history of 3d and 3d movies, throw in some clips of classic 3d movies and mix them with the latest and greatest in computer animated 3d virtual reality! awesome!
the movie has some great old footage, and is very informative while being consistently entertaining. A nice job all the way through- even though elvira is grossly underused!! i can not wait to see what else nwave pictures has up their sleeve. They are definitely on the cutting edge of 3d home entertainment. I have yet to see anything that rivals 'encounter', 'alien adventure' or 'haunted castle' on the 3d market!
very well done!
do not watch this in 2d, howver; highly recommended for 3d lovers!!!

"'civil war combat' is an excellent and absorbing production from the history channel. This dvd focuses on 4 engagements: shiloh, antietam, gettysburg and cold harbor. Reenactors provide the images while historians and rangers from the national park service describe the men and the events from the overall strategies down to personal accounts of the average soldier. I believe that all the photography is actually shot at the national military park locations. The photography is really beautiful. This is no cheap production. If you like the way the history channel produces their shows you should really like this set. I enjoyed the cold harbor segment the best. It was really interesting and informative."
"Leave it to a Jeff Gordon (or Tony Stewart) fan to write a su**y review without even seeing the movie this pertains to. He probably wouldn't understand it anyway. Hey idiot... stick to the Sesame Street coloring books and leave movies to the grown-ups. "
