"This movie was a nice change of pace from the typical guy movies I usually watch. Hill Harper is hilarious. This movie doesn't take itself too seriously, and that's part of what I really liked about iti** nice to see a different type of black male character portrayed - one that is not trying to be too cool, too hard, etc. I also liked how this guy could be such a geek, but yet not really be a geek once you got to know him. He definitely has a way with the ladies and is a thoughtful and intelligent guy. This movie has a nice artsy feel to it and, as someone who has loved my share of Jezebels in my life, I found it very entertaining."
"nothing good here. need iron-will patience to sit through watching this multi-cliched bad movie. meaty faced married teaching guy met die-hard fatal attraction long-faced female student from spain, and he just got his 2nd wedding anniversary? boring dialog, bad casting and performances....so, what else is new? do we need one more of this cliched movie imaging on the big screen or straight to the dvd rentals? guess not. thought provoking? definitely not."
"The entire movie was great!! The cast, especially Harper Hill, was terrific! It was clean, fresh, insightful, poetic and instrumentally off the hook!!!! Why a soundtrack isn't out yet is beyond me. It took me to places long since forgotten.Bravo to all who collaborated on this project!!!"
"I was very disappointed in this installment. I liked the first 2 versions but found this dull and boring. Endless scenes of walking down corridors waiting for something to happen... Also, there was no character development so you have nothing invested in any of the roles or actors."
"This modern teen version of Jane Austen's Emma set in Beverly Hills was an instant hit. Alicia Silverstone as a clueless Cher sparkles with charm, but not much wit in this light-hearted rendition. She happily sets up her teachers and reforms her new tomboyish friend, believing she is the utmost authority on romance. When her dreamboy turns out to be interested in boys and not her, and her new friend becomes more popular than she is at school, she realizes that she not only is as shallow as her stepbrother claimed she is, but she is the one who has no idea about love and romance. You will be swept into Cher's world by Silverstone's adorable embodiment of this Emma.
Putting a Best Word Forward."
