Scent of a Woman

"This was always one of my favorite movies and was glad to see it finally come out on HD-DVD. The transfer was great, providing crisp clear visuals. Soundtrack transfer is ver good as well. "

In Pursuit of Honor

"This little known movie (a true story) shows government bureaucracy and heartless bungling ati** worst, as rather than sell or give away 400 horses no longer needed by the soon to be mechanized army, the govt. chooses to destroy them. Don Johnson plays a grizzled career army officer who throws away that career and embarks on a long trek to save the horses, in effect stealing them and running for Canada with them and several other army men equally disgusted with the idea of slaughtering the animals. Johnson is not his usual suave, glib self in this movie, but his portrayal of the disillusioned army man is excellent."

"The professional critics hated this film, so it can't be all bad! In fact, it provides an excellent background on which Micheal J. Fox showcases his talent. A great supporting cast and a fun plot make this entire film a gem you'll want to watch again and again. It sure ain't film noir. Eat your heart out, Mr. Maltin!!!"

Wild Hearts Can't Be Broken

"Call me sentimental. Call me a pushover for kids and animals but this is a great movie I just happened to stumble on.Parents: Run don't walk and buy this for the family. Disney did it again. Heartwarming tale of an orphan girl makes good. She makes good in the public eye but also, and the important lesson from the story, makes good overcoming terrible odds.I am surprised there have not been hundreds of reviews of this movie. Absorbing for adults and children. Good lessons to be learned. An hour and a half well spent.Buy it!"

For Love Or Money

"This is definitely a feel good movie. Fox is good as a hotel conceirge who has a dream one day of owning his own hotel. His dream becomes interrupted when he falls for a clients' mistress played by Gabrielle Anwar.While there are times in this movie that you are completely suspended in disbelief, I liked this movie. The chemistry between Fox and Anwar seems genuine and real. Fox's charisma shines really bright when he shares the dreams of his hotel with Anwar.I probably will never own this movie, but it would be a great movie to rent and see it with that special someone in your life."

"This has become my favorite Al Pacino movie, and was one of the first HD movies that I bought after purchasing my new 65' High Definition plasma TV. It is a most unique story, and it will touch your 'funny bone' as well as your heart. The HD version will bring to life your favorite scenes, such as when Pacino dances the Tango with the beautiful brunette. Instead of being an outsider looking in, you'll feel as if you are actually sitting at a co**tail table by the dance floor as Al Pacino dances so gracefully. This title is a must in anyone's HD-DVD library."
