Wild Wild West

"'Wild Wild West' is not a total fiasco, buti** easy to see why this big-budget revamp of the classic TV show never clicked. Simply put, Will Smith and Kevin Kline are not Robert Conrad and Ross Martin. There's no chemistry or rapport between Fresh Prince and Shakespeare Boy, which seriously damages the film's potential. Last year's 'Avengers' remake had the same problem in terms of miscasting. Kenneth Branagh -- for all his talents -- doesn't hold a candle to Michael Dunn's original Dr. Loveless. As a result, 'Wild Wild West' falls flat, despite its impressive set design and visual effects. Here's some helpful advice to producers planning big-screen remakes of 1960s TV shows: If you can't find the right actors, don't bother."

Barbershop 2 - Back in Business

"I have lived on the Chicago southside, so it is fun to see the streets and the people portrayed. But why did they have to rerun the plot of the first one? It's basically the same choice: Do I sell out and take the money or do I stick with the neighborhood. Guess which decision he makes. It does has some funny moments, but they are mixed in with several plot lines that don't really relate to the movie - a love-hate romance with two of the younger barbers, Cedric the Entertainer reminiscing about his past (We never did find out why his girl left) and the white guy barber's pompous attitude. Overall, I finished watching that movie and thought. Hm. I really could have found something better to do for 2 hours."

Coming to America

"this is without a doubt, one of the best comedy's of all time, this is a must buy for eddie murphy fans. this is still one of my favorite movies, and i cant wait to get the blu ray version. i know its not a typical movie you would watch in hidef, but for 19.99, you cant beat this deal. get this movie, if your a eddie murphy fan, you need this movie, even if you already have the standard version."

Double Take

"Double Take was a hilarious movie. Eddie Griifin and Orlando Jones were funnier then Chris Rock and all of the other comiedans will ever be. Great acting by everyone else in the movie"

Coming to America

"No doubt at all that, 'Coming to America,' is one of Eddie Murphy's finest movies of all. A true comedy classic, this film will have you rolling from start to finish at the zany characters and performance throughout.The DVD itself, on the other hand, leaves much to be desired. As far as extras go the only ammenity offered is 1 lousy trailer. Also, the video transfer itself is far from pristine and the Dolby 5.1 audio track sounds like it could still be sweetend up. Sure, i suppose the fact that this DVD was authored back in 1999 may explain why the disc comes across as a bit primitive in terms of bells and whistles, but with that being said, it's high time for a proper re-release to do this comedy classic some audio-visual justice!"

10.5: Apocalypse

"This sequel to 10.5 is a disaster freak's dream come true. we get destruction of hoover dam; las vegas sinks into the sand; mount rushmore crumbles, and houston is dessimated. while probably not geologically accurate, i found the movie pretty much enjoyable except for the too lengthy rescue sequence in las vegas, but the first half and the final third are pretty involving. there are no super star performances, but you get adequate ones from kim delaney, frank langella, dean cain, oliver hudson, beau bridges and carlos bernard. the cgi effects are pretty decent and although some of it is reminiscent of the poseidon adventure, there have been a lot more disastrous disaster films, so if you're a genre fan, you shouldn't be too disappointed."
