"Wow, so much for my faith in Sally Fields. I guess she is back to her Cannonball Run ability to pick stories. What a dud this is. I think it was written by a junior high student in detention over the course of one week. The script is totally ridiculous, petty, lazy, and insulting. The characters have no character, the story has no point, and there's nothing poignant about this movie, supposedly about a serious and profound subject. Avoid like death!"
"Mrs. Doubtfire (widescreen), is not an anamorphic re-issue. It has the same letterboxed substandard transfer from the 2003 release, plus the added features. The outside sleeve states anamporhic 2:35, which is a lie and false advertising. This is not the first time fox home video does this. They also pulled this scheme with the abyss!!!. you should complain to fox and clarify this in your information for this item in your web site.
the quality of this dvd is not up to 2006 standards, and fox should replace all these discs with a quality new anamorphic transfer as advertised, or better yet, release it in high definition. Shame on you again fox home video!!"
"Sally Field won her 1979 Best Actress Oscar for a very simple reason - she gave one of the most powerful characterizations in cinematic history. Ever since I saw this film, about six months ago, it has left a haunting impression. Thanks to the central lead, this is one of the most powerful, moving and truly unforgettable films ever made."
"This is it! A must see! Makes one think about how one should trully live their life! Shows the value of family and true love. James Garner as Murphy is outstanding! This movie is one you will want to add to your library! Excellent - Outstanding - True to life - warm happy fuzzys in heart kind of movie!"
"This is a delightful movie, one of Robin Williams's best. The concern I have, since the widescreen version has been out of print for some time now and the full screen version was only available as part of a set of comedy movies, none of which I wanted, is this version Widescreen or Full Screen? Neither the photo of the packaging, nor the technical information provided, give any indication of which version this is, and I won't waste my money on the full screen version of any movie that was presented in widescreen in the theaters. "
"It's the best new show of the 2006-2007 television season. It eclipsed ABC's own 'Grey's Anatomy' (which fell into the gutter) and 'Ugly Betty.'
I especially love that it became the little show that could, garnering solid ratings and winning over viewers slowly. It might never be a show that becomes an Emmy darling, but Calista Flockhart (in her return to acting), Sally Field and Rachel Griffiths are award-calibre.
And Matthew Ryhs as Kevin, particuarly shines. The series definitley has room for improvement (can we get rid of Balthazar Getty and Sarah Jane Morris in season two?), buti** cast and the integrity that the show holds makes it must-see television."
