"When I first saw this movie, I wasn't sure what to make about it. I am a Beatles fan, and I always expected them to be perfectly faithful and never mean. I was wrong. This movie showed an evil side to Lennon and nice side to Stu. Now I realize that I enjoyed this movie. It was more realistic than any documentary film I have seen on them. Most movies about them talk about how perfect they were. And how smily and cheerful they were. This movie was not only sweet and funny, it was also tragic and real. So if you want to see a movie that is good, but also shows the truth behind the Beatles, this is a good pick."

The Camomile Lawn

"Chamomile Lawn follows the lives of half a dozen cousins and their friends during WWII. The Chamomile Lawn itself is a beautiful old Victorian located on the cliffs in Cornwall. The cousins lives intertwine, intermingle and at times incestuous relationships form. I particularly liked Sophie, Calypso and the twins. At first I found the series a bit difficult to get into. Some of the characters are cold and a bit selfish. Also the child abuse and the incest is somewhat distasteful. But eventually I found myself really enjoying the scenery, the characters and the involved plot. 4 stars."

The Camomile Lawn

"I wanted to watch this movie mainly because of Jennifer Ehle. Ms. Ehle played Elizabeth Bennett is the very lovely-made version of Pride and Prejudice. However, I did not like her character or her blonde hair. The story, mostly told in flashback, was poorly done and somewhat confusing. I was very glad when the film ended."

"Having lived roughly half of the period covered by Szabó in his latest film at the location of the film, Hungary, I found his film very, very touching. He shows us the lives of three generations of Hungarian Jews - how the first Sonnenschein changes his name to sound Hungarian to get a position as a high ranking judge, how the second leaves his ancestors' religion to be accepted by the military officers' fencing club, how the third becomes a member of the political police in the 1950s to take revenge for killing much of his family during the war, only to find that, as a Jew, he is not wanted by that establishment, either. The film is a very pessimistic, dark, but, I am afraid, truthful account of that cruel century, the 20th."
