"When I was a small girl of six, I saw the film Fern Gully in the theater and it scared me sh...uh...poopless!! It was an OK flick up until the horrific smog monster appeared, killing all nature and singing about acid rain and su**ing all living creatures dry and spitting them out like spinach!!! This movie traumatized me and gave me nightmares for at least a year or two!! This movie is a nightmare ride and if you REALLY want to show your kids a movie with a message about preserving the environment and living in harmony with nature, you'd be better off with Miyazaki's 'Castle in the Sky' than with this film. That is, unless you want your kid to be scared for life..."
"*How to Make an American Quilt* has been in my Top 5 since the second I saw it in the theatre. Unfortunately, it seems to be grossly misunderstood by reviewers, who tend to be - and sorry for the generalization - male. It works more as a companion piece to the novel, as each fills in the blanks that the other left behind. What you have at the end is solid, heartfelt, and a true treasure within the 'woman's film' genre."
"'Believe in Me' is a excellent movie for all ages. Quite inspirational. We showed it at our church's Friday Night at the Movies activity and everyone loved it."
"This was the last movie that I ever watched with my father before he passed away. So this movie has alot of sentimental meaning buti** a great movie for children. I saved mine for my daughter to watch. Batty is so funny and the singing in this movie is great. Though Hexas used to scare me when I was younger I loved this movie and I'm in my 20s and I still know every word to it. For parents out there looking for a good movie with a good message, this is the movie you're looking for!"
"An awesome 'hang in there' movie, which is based on a true story. It's not over til it's over is a lesson learned from watching this movie. Truly inspiring. Definately worth the purchase!!"
"This movie is solidly grounded in the story of a real coach and a real team. At the end of the movie, the actual person who inspired the film is shown being showered with the devotion of his players decades after they were on the basketball court together. Donovan, Mathis, and the young women who play ball are entertaining as well as in touch with the heart of this true story. Well-worth the purchase price."
