"The film: beautiful cinematography, georgeous music and stunning costume design. A beautiful art film.
Blu-ray release presents this visually dazzling film in superb 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 transfer. The even more captivating audio is presented in an uncompressed PCM 5.1 surround. Also included are extensive list of extras.
Highly recommended!"
"Quite simply, this movie looks absolutely stunning. If you own a Blu-ray player, you must own this movie. The HD transfer was done beautifully, and will make a great showcase for showing off the wonders of HD.
As for the movie itself, that's great too. Having grown up with the Turtles in the 80's, this movie was a must-see. As another reviewer mentioned, I wasn't too pleased with the scrawny look of the CGI Turtles. But I have to hand it to them, the CGI turned out beautifully and I hope there are more Turtles movie like this one to come. The story was sharp, entertaining, and witty. Every TMNT fan must own this movie. "
"The movie was not as good as the original, but it was better than a typical sequel. There were plenty of laughs and amazing martial arts movements. I don't think I'd buy the movie, buti** definitely worth renting. The storyline wasn't too tight, but lots of one-liners. Like the first one, it ends with bloopers and those are a kick (pun intended)!"
"This is the turtles for the new generation. They have taken away most of the wry humor of the comics and the 3 live action movies and made things a bit darker. They also don't call them teenagers or mutants either. They are simple ninja turles. The story is fairly simple with the tutles being in disarray and longtime villain Shredder dead. The new bad guy is an immortal trying to gather together 13 monsters. The animation is very good and if you like karate action, then this is for you. Some of the storyline is a tiny bit intense for the really young ones, but there is no blood, swearing, and a kiss at the end is the only thing sexual. It is worth a watch."
"One of the more intellectual films out there that tries to make you think about peace, war, and consequences. Base on a chinese folktale, this is a thoughtful story filled with plot, character, imagery, and action. Not overly dramatic like most kung fu movie genre, but smart. Zhang's use of colors is artistic, and the kung fu movements are acrobatic. Why this did not get a 5 is because the ending leaves you unsatisfied - i.e. Hero should have been less tragic."
"I liked Rush Hour 2 better than the first one. In the second the script was funnier, the stunts were crazier, and the producers remembered that good-looking women sell movies, so there is an abundance of those, including Zhang Ziyi (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon).Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker have a great chemistry on the screen. Jackie Chan does some amazing martial art stuff, using for that purpose pretty much any conceivable item, while Tucker spits out outrageous lines and insults a mile a minute. The movie is really funny, really entertaining, and after this summer of one lousy movie after another - it's definitely a sight for a sore eye. Highly recommended."
