Finding Neverland

"You find hope, passion and a reason for being in the strangest places. I was very touched by this film. It is much deeper and touching than I imagined it would be. Several of the images still remain with me touching me somewhere deep inside and from times long ago. Johnny Depp continues to show signs of brilliance as an actor. You feel his passion as well as his pain in his performance. He so effortlessly touches all those who believe in his dreams. Kate Winslet, Dustin Hoffman and ultimately Julie Christie succumb to his belief that dreams can come true. "

" Ian McEwan, one of my very favorite authors, had me mesmerized by his detailed characters and all of their interplay in Atonement. The movie promises to be as delicious. I am fascinated by how much the actors look as I had imagined them as I read the book. "

"I saw this movie when it was originaly shown in the cinemas and had it at the top of my wish list for two years now. At last it arrived and I now see it in a much different light and its messages maybe even more revelant than it was when it was released.It fully deserved the three oscars. Movie making doesn't come much better than this."

"Atonement is my favorite novel, and it looks like it's been beautifully realized on screen. I'll be there December 7th!"

Fonda has never been better, Redgrave is luminous as the idealistic Julia, and Jason Robards conveys a worn assuredness as Hellman's husband, writer Dashiell Hammett. Zinnemann's handling of period detail in 1930s New York and Berlin is exquisite, and the film rightfully earned 11 Oscar nominations. A personal favorite."
